The first of its kind in the Arab world and Africa, the International Festival of Circus and Street Arts continues to shine with its originality and commitment to culture.
This 7th edition will welcome circus artists from Tunisia, Mauritania, Morocco, France, Italy, Chile, Argentina, Mexico and Senegal, in addition to Egypt and Russia, who are participating for the first time since the creation of the festival in 2018. The circus shows will be free for the public and will be preceded by entertainment shows and workshops for children.
The flagship event of the festival is the official international show which will feature an impressive array of acrobatics, including rope, unicycle, fire games, and human pyramids.
Also on the program for this edition, a national circus arts competition which will be held on June 5 at the Théâtre de l'Opéra at the Cité de la culture, where 11 candidates selected from 27 applications will compete for three prestigious prizes.
In addition to Tunis, a festival tour in 9 other regions will take place in the governorates of Ben Arous, Siliana, Sfax, Sousse, Mahdia, Monastir, Kef, Bizerte and Zaghouan until July 5.
